Our team is friendly, and willing to go the distance to provide our clients with the best service possible.

Why the name “Island Media Services”? Our staff came together for a general love of tropical and island music. Managing Partner Edward Meyer, conceived and created “Island Dreamz Radio” in 2004 as a centralized source for fans to hear independent singer/songwriters and musicians. The radio station has broadcast live events from as far north as Manistee Michigan, and as far south as Jost Van Dyke, BVI. This love of island, beach and song is what influenced the name “Island” Media Services.

Who We Are

Edward Meyer, Managing Partner / Creative Director

Edward Meyer is one of the founding partners of Island Media Services, LLC. Ed’s mission is to partner with Entrepreneurs and established business professionals in multiple industries who share a common need for creative marketing solutions.

Opting for a change of scenery, Ed moved to North Carolina after working in the marketing department of a major northeast mortgage lender for nearly a decade and established Island Media Services with his wife and business partner Kate in March of 2016.

Throughout Ed’s career of 30+ years, his marketing experience includes work in television, radio, and print media. Some achievements and highlights over that time include being a team member of pioneers introducing “Photo Advertising” for cable television, appearing as a guest speaker at the National Association of Broadcasters’ (NAB) Annual Convention speaking about “Digital Solutions for Local Origination Programming”, as well as creating, managing and producing his own online radio station between 2004 and 2015.

Recently Ed has been honored with the opportunity to speak to students studying Event Planning at both Alamance Community College and University of North Carolina Greensboro about the roles networking and marketing can play in growing their business.

In his spare time, Ed is a fan of Jimmy Buffett, island, tropical, Polynesian, and Calypso music. He enjoys collecting vinyl records and traveling through the Florida Keys.
